Jen+David are getting married May 5, 2012. They have invited us to photograph their wedding and we are really looking forward to it! I met them recently in Ybor City for their engagement session and we roamed around Ybor getting some really great photos. Jen+David will be getting one of our unique Guest Signature Albums for their wedding with pictures from this session. Here is one of my favs from their session.
Amy and Timmer were married on November 12, 2011 on Lido Beach, Sarasota, Florida. Beach weddings along the central Gulf coast are really great this time of year. The sweltering heat is gone – along with the gawking tourists, and the sunsets are awesome.
The bride, groom and family and guests from out of town stayed at the Lido Beach Holiday Inn, Sarasota, FL. This is also where they held the reception. Sonja Newton, the Catering Sales Manager and her staff were awesome. The room was beautiful and food was excellent.
Jerry Matos from 1st Class DJ Services provided the music on the beach for the ceremony and was the DJ for Amy and Timmer’s reception. Jerry and his team were great to work with. He is very professional and more importantly, really fun. He kept the wedding party and all of the guests involved and dancing the entire night.

Sarah+Jordan were married on November 5, 2011. Many of their relatives came in from the Philly and Pittsburgh areas so they rented a large beach house on Indian Rock Beach. I think it’s great that instead of the two of them going off on a honeymoon, they spent the entire week at the beach house with family and friends. A great way to celebrate your wedding!
Sarah’s son, Chase, was a little man and walked mom down the aisle. During the exchanging of vows in addition to Jordan’s vow to Sarah he also gave a vow to Chase. Jordan, that was awesome!
Sarah and the girls got ready for the wedding at Holiday Inn Harbourside, a very nice keywest style hotel on the inter coastal in Indian Rocks Beach. Joe Farren played the keyboard, guitar, sang and DJ’d. He’s a really talented guy and the music was great.

Katie and Chip were married on the beach on September 10, 2011 at Sand Key Park in Clearwater, Florida. They had decided that they wanted to see each other before the ceremony so we arranged for a “1st Look” photo opportunity. The 1st Look can be special for the bride and groom, it’s an intimate moment together, just the two of them, when the groom sees his bride in her wedding dress for the first time. Chip had his back turned and Katie came up behind him and touched his shoulder. He turned around to see her for the 1st time. It’s a beautiful moment and always results in emotional images. The traditional approach of the groom seeing his bride when she first starts to walk down the aisle is wonderful too but some couples are doing things a bit different.
Their entire day was was intimate and shared only with family and a few friends. The ceremony, just before sundown, was officiated by Charmaine Doumanian. After the ceremony Katie, Chip and their family went to the water’s edge to tossed sea shells with prayers and blessing on them into the ocean.
We were there to photograph their day but I want to thank Katie and Chip and Katie’s mom, Sheryl for their kindness for inviting Nancy and I to join them for dinner at Shepard’s Beach Resort. We were honored to be invited to join your family on this special day. Thank you.

In April I photographed Brianna+Alex’s engagement session, on June 24, 2011 they were married! I met Brianna at the Palmer House Bed and Breakfast where she was staying and getting ready for her wedding. We took some fun photos with her mom and the girls helping her prepare. Dad was there too for some really sweet pictures of him and his lovely daughter together. Moments with dad and daughter are always some of my favorites during a wedding day. Maybe it’s because I know I’m going to be there with my daughter some day. Brianna and Peter had many special moments during the day as you can see from the pictures below.
Brianna and Alex were married in the beautiful Sacred Heart Catholic Church in downtown Tampa. This is one of the most magnificent churches in the area and dates back to 1905. It was perfect for their wedding.
The reception was held at the Palmetto Club at Fishhawk Ranch. The Palmetto Club is a favorite location for Jeff Mason Photography. The ballroom is as nice, if not nicer, than any of the hotel ballrooms in the Tampa or St. Pete areas. They have a walled garden with a large grassy area for events or wedding ceremonies and a veranda with seating that overlooks the garden. Brianna and Alex made a good choice for the reception. Amici’s Catered Cuisine served an outstanding meal to the wedding party and guests and their service was also outstanding, as usual. All throughout the evening DJ Rick from Breezin’ Entertainment and Productions kept the music going and the people movin’.
