Brianna+Alex | Tampa Wedding Photography

Posted on July 19, 2011 by Jeff Mason | Tampa Wedding & Portrait Photographer in Wedding Photography

In April I photographed Brianna+Alex’s engagement session, on June 24, 2011 they were married!  I met Brianna at the Palmer House Bed and Breakfast where she was staying and getting ready for her wedding.  We took some fun photos with her mom and the girls helping her prepare.  Dad was there too for some really sweet pictures of him and his lovely daughter together.  Moments with dad and daughter are always some of my favorites during a wedding day.  Maybe it’s because I know I’m going to be there with my daughter some day.  Brianna and Peter had many special moments during the day as you can see from the pictures below.

Brianna and Alex were married in the beautiful Sacred Heart Catholic Church in downtown Tampa.  This is one of the most magnificent churches in the area and dates back to 1905.  It was perfect for their wedding.

The reception was held at the Palmetto Club at Fishhawk Ranch.  The Palmetto Club is a favorite location for Jeff Mason Photography.  The ballroom is as nice, if not nicer, than any of the hotel ballrooms in the Tampa or St. Pete areas.  They have a walled garden with a large grassy area for events or wedding ceremonies and a veranda with seating that overlooks the garden.  Brianna and Alex made a good choice for the reception.  Amici’s Catered Cuisine served an outstanding meal to the wedding party and guests and their service was also outstanding, as usual.  All throughout the evening DJ Rick from Breezin’ Entertainment and Productions kept the music going and the people movin’.

Brianna and Alex, from your engagement session to your wedding day, we are honored to have been invited to be your photographers.  Nancy and I wish the two of you many happy, healthy, and Blessed years together.

Here are a few pictures from your day.

Berthine+Andrew | Tampa Wedding Photography

Posted on March 22, 2011 by Jeff Mason | Tampa Wedding & Portrait Photographer in Wedding Photography

On March 19 Berthine and Drew were married at Victorian Gardens in Tampa.  It was an absolutely beautiful spring day, perfect for an absolutely beautiful bride’s wedding.

Drew and the guys had a fun idea.  They wanted to reenact the scene from the movie “Hangover” where they had to rush to get to the wedding and get dressed on the side of the highway.  Sounded like fun to me!  I didn’t really want to risk having an angry bride by getting her groom hurt so we found a stretch of road with very little traffic and played it out.  Have a look at the pictures, the guys were great.

Thank you for inviting us to share in your wedding, it was a true honor.

Autumn+William | Wedding Photographers in Orlando

Posted on July 10, 2010 by Jeff Mason | Tampa Wedding & Portrait Photographer in Wedding Photography

On June 25th Autumn and William were married at The Grand Bohemian Hotel in Orlando.  What a beautiful hotel for a beautiful wedding!  The Grand Bohemian is a Kessler hotel founded by Richard Kessler who is also a strong supporter of the arts.  Their Four and Five Diamond rated hotels are noted for their distinctive architecture, stylish decor, and rare art and music displayed throughout.  Autumn and William are a stylish couple so the Grand Bohemian was a perfect choice.  From a photographer’s point of view it was awesome.  Sandy Thornton, coordinator at the hotel, was incredible to work with.  She went above and beyond and I think she even bent over backwards a few times.  I’m looking forward to working with her again.

Autumn is a gorgeous bride.  She wore a princess wedding dress that was absolutely perfect for her.  William was dashing in his tux and I kept thinking, “James Bond”.  The ceremony was held on the 3rd floor outdoor pool deck under a huge white canopy, very cool, and the reception was in the Johann Strauss Ballroom.

Both families were wonderful and I have to thank Stephanie Humphrey (Stephanie Humphrey Photography) for referring Autumn and her family to me.  Stephanie also helped me photograph Autumn and William’s day, once again, THANK YOU!  Some of her work is included here.

Congratulations, Autumn and William.

Kathleen+Steven | Anna Maria Island, Florida Wedding

Posted on June 17, 2010 by Jeff Mason | Tampa Wedding & Portrait Photographer in Wedding Photography

Kathleen and Steven were married on Saturday on the beach in front of the Harrington House Bed & Breakfast on Anna Maria Island. It was an intimate wedding with a few close friends and family mostly visiting from Georgia.  We’ve been having some really hot days lately but there was a little rain right before the ceremony that cooled the air, it was perfect!  It probably wasn’t raining across the street, Florida weather is so weird.

Being part of the community of photographers in our area I feel that it is important to work together with other studios.  I want to thank Paul from Chi Photography for providing the opportunity to work with Kathleen and Steven.

Here are a few of my favorite images from their day.

Rachel+Gordon | Garden Club Wedding in Tampa

Posted on March 28, 2010 by Jeff Mason | Tampa Wedding & Portrait Photographer in Wedding Photography

Rachel and Gordon were married March 21, 2010 at the Davis Island Garden Club in Tampa.  They live in the Baltimore area and I really was looking forward to seeing them again since we has such a good time during their engagement session.  The original plan was for them to take the water taxi from the Embassy Suites Downtown to the Garden Club which is also on the water.  On this day the weather didn’t completely cooperate so the water taxi was a no-go.

Rachel and Gordon are a neat couple.  She is an FBI field agent but she couldn’t really tell me what she did and I think I’m glad because I sure she could have hurt me.  Gordon has just been selected to do his medical residency at John Hopkins.  He decided to leave a job on Wall Street to go back to medical school.  Of course all this was great ammunition for the best man and matron of honor to use in their toasts.

March 21st is a special day not only because it’s Rachel+Gordon’s wedding day but it was also Gordon’s parents’ wedding anniversary.  I think it’s cool they planned it to be the same day.

Their event was coordinated by Staci Mandikas of Unique Event Design.  Staci is a preferred event planner for the Davis Island Garden Club and did an excellent job, as usual.  Thanks, Staci for your help with everything.  Video was by Jacques from Studios76 and music was provided by DJ extraordinaire James King from Grant Hemond & Associates.

Rachel and Gordon, it was wonderful working with you during your engagement and wedding.  Nancy and I wish the two of you many happy and healthy years together.

Here are a few of my favorite images.

Here is a slideshow of their day set to music.  Give it a few minutes to load, it’s HQ and well worth the wait!
