Vanessa and Jason were married on June 4, 2011 at the Sirata Beach Resort on St. Pete Beach. Their reception was in the Royal Palm Ballroom at the Sirata. Vanessa recently graduated from Univ. of Tampa and was very excited to be marrying Jason and to be moving on to the next stage of their lives together. Vanessa wore a beautiful strapless gown and her bridesmaids wore red dresses. Her motif was Sunflowers so her flower colors had a lot of orange and yellows, very pretty. Christine Hackett, owner of The Bridal Florist did an excellent job with the bouquets, center pieces, and the ceremony area.
Jon and Brandon from Groundup Films were the videographers and filmed the entire day. I would like to see the finished product, these guys are good at what they do! Jonathan “DJ J” Carissimo from No Boundries Entertainment kept things going as the Vanessa, Jason, and their guests partied into the night.
One of the things I enjoy about photographing weddings is that there are always traditions that get carried from one generation to the next. Vanessa mentioned that she wanted a full-length portrait with her girls bouquets laying on her dress train. This isn’t something that I get asked often so I knew there must a reason. Sure enough, she told me that both her mother and her grandmother had been taken in the same pose and she wanted one as well. That’s the power of photography, images of tradition that are shared and enjoyed from one generation to the next and I was able to give that to her. Very cool!
Congratulations, Vanessa and Jason.
